TRIATHLON TRAINING
viXen training will be with you from
start to finish of your triathlon adventure. Each clinic includes 2 weekly coached
workouts covering swimming, biking and running techniques, a workout
schedule to follow on non-coached days, weekly motivating emails to
keep you on track, information and tips to give you a clear
understanding of the fun sport of triathlon, all leading up to cheering
you on while you smile through the finish line.
What if you really would like to do a triathlon but are still
intimidated? Share your fitness goal, and grab one or two other friends
for a relay – divy up the running, biking and swimming —
not to mention the fun!

Long Beach Triathlon Training Clinic - FULL
Start date: Weds July 16th 7pm
Meet at sporteve ready to review your training program. Dress for a short run in the park.
Why do I want to sign up for this training clinic?
If you have always wanted to try triathlon -- or if you have already done a triathlon and now want to try an ocean swim, -- the Long Beach Triathlon is an ideal course.
The ocean swim is done inside the break wall meaning there is no ocean surf. The bike portion is almost flat with 2 small hills. The run is flat.
This triathlon course makes for a very beginner friendly "sprint distance" : 1/2 mile swim, 11 mile bike, 3 mile run.
Coached workouts will be held Weds from 7:30pm-8:30pm & Sat 7:30-9am on the WESTSIDE. Mini-triathlon and transition clinic to prepare you for race day will be held in Long Beach.

Pasadena Triathlon FULL
Our 8 week training clinic starts January 13th, meeting at 8:30am at sporteve! Show up with your running shoes!
Weekly coached workouts are Weds 6:30-7:30pm at SMC and Sundays 8:30-9:45am at Ocean Park or sporteve.
Pasadena is a fun “reverse” triathlon beginning with the run, biking in the middle and finishing with the swim.
This race is perfect for those who are worried about swimming as it is a pool swim versus lake or ocean.
Bike and run are on a flat course around the Rose Bowl.
Race date is March 8th at the Rose Bowl. The race distance is :
RUN: 5K (3.1 miles)
BIKE: 15K (10 miles)
POOL SWIM: 150 meters (3 laps)
